Counting Candy Corn
Today we practiced our math skills as we learned how to write a number in expanded form. Each student was provided a sheet of paper in the shape of a candy corn. Orange and yellow paper was also provided to each student. Students were instructed to cut the paper into their own shape of candy corn. Each student choses a three digit number and writes it at the top in the white section. The orange section you will show the place values by telling how many hundreds, tens, and ones there are in the number. The yellow section includes the expanded form of the number. The students had such a great time creating these fun math crafts and learned so much from the activity.
